| Acorn Technologies actually got its start in 1977 long before desktop computers, cell phones, the Internet, and Microsoft. From the beginning, our shop has always been about 2-way radios and the fascinating world of RF equipment and systems. The world went digital in the 80s and Acorn added digital products and services into its consumer and business lines; in the 90s, consumers added Windows and networking and Acorn was there to supply vital information and technical services. Today, Acorn is a leading supplier of conventional, trunking, and digital equipment and services. | Acorn has had several different names and gone through several mergers. Acorn's first name was Radio Communications Services, then following a merger, it became CommTech. In 1993 Commtech became Acorn and it was incorporated (State of Montana) as it is today in 1997. In 2004, Acorn Technologies merged with CAT5 Technical Services. Today, Acorn services more than 2000 customers in 40 counties in Montana...and 11 counties in Wyoming. | ||

| We are proud of our customer list and it is the mirror of the success of our small business. Valued relationships exist with the City of Billings (Fire, PD, Sheriff and others), our own Yellowstone County, and Golden Valley County, Sweetgrass, Carbon, Bighorn, Musselshell and many other municipalities, agencies such as the BIA, FAA, and the BLM, the Montana Department of Corrections, the US Navy and Marines, and even US Senators Burns, Baucus, and Tester. Our services have extended to Mastercard and US Bank, State Farm Insurance, Conoco-Phillips, UPS, Frito-Lay, Sysco, WalMart, Target, Sears, and the MDA. More importantly, we work hard to keep this business - just as we will work hard to keep the trust relationship and future business of every Acorn customer. | Acorn carries tens of thousands of dollars worth of inventory to quickly accommodate customer repairs or upgrades. Of more importance, we are committed to ongoing employee training and have regularly invested in manufacturer schooling and workshops, seminars and labs, certification support, online tutorials, library, multi-media and reference materials, and many other forms of education. Our business demands that we keep pace professionally and technically, and our customers continued reliance on Acorn is of the utmost importance. | ||
